We have a fiduciary duty to act in the long-term interest of our investors and we evaluate each financing transaction against our sustainability framework through initial origination, due diligence, deal structuring and portfolio management.
As a member of the United Nations’ Principles for Responsible Investing (U.N. PRI), Stonebridge Financial’s practices support many of its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through our investment activity in social and renewable energy infrastructure.

Stonebridge respects the traditions and values of the Indigenous Peoples of Canada, and has strived to cultivate and sustain lending relationships with Indigenous communities across Canada. Since 2012, we have successfully completed $750 million in debt financing, benefiting over 40 Indigenous communities nationwide. This includes the first wholly-owned indigenous renewable project, a solar farm, for Alderville First Nation.

Land Acknowledgment
Stonebridge Financial acknowledges that our Toronto office is located on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We also recognize and acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands.
